Road Trip...

Rodg and I have been on the go almost all summer I think we finally took our last road trip for a while--- it was so fun we went to Las Vegas so i could go to a Crossfit Seminar and take my level 1 training test for Crossfit- it was a rough two days but I learned alot and had the best husband ever there to support me and I PASSED :)- We stayed away from the strip and I enjoyed Las Vegas more then I ever had before we spent most of our time in Henderson they had great places to eat and shop!! I spent way to much money at the Nike outlet mall.....and of course we had to go to PF Changs Rodg and I love this place:) We played in the pool and enjoyed the sunny days- it was a great little get away that ended way to soon:)

Into the Wilderness

I am most likely the worst blogger EVER:) I love to look at everyones blog and see all the fun picture but for some reason I have a hard time finding the time to do my own- We have had such a fun summer almost every weekend has been full of activities- This weekend Rodger and I had the chance to go to Leigh Lake with my two brothers, and my brother inlaw and 6 of there kids- so off we went on our adventure....three canoes so two adults per canoe and two kids with all of our gear across this giant lake it took us about an hour and half to get to our camp site where we set up camp and got dinner all set- we then had some visitors...two deer- they had huge ears i had never seen deer that close...and they were close and the kids loved seeing them- then as we purfied our water and got ready for bed we could hear Elk bugling...first time for me then we got into our tiny little tent..not sure how me and Rodger both fit but we did and went to sleep I had been afraid of bears the whole time- people kept telling me how dangerous and hungry there were this time of year...but i woke up and we were all still alive:)

But then it gets scary we were all out on the canoes fishing the next morning and I had just told Rodger how glad i was we didnt get attacked by bears....when he yells.....BEAR i looked up and right at Nathans camp was a baby brown bear.....it took off running so we decided that we really needed to get camp cleaned up and leave before we rean into its mama bear....Rodger was helping me out of the canoe when i yelled Rodger beard...he said no that a deer and just then the bear lifted it head...and it was a small Grizzly bear..(Maybe one to two years old) I lost it i started screaming for Rodger to get in the boat and Jani and Jaden where screaming so Nick and Rodger decided to go clean up camp....so guess what Aunt Katies ends up doing taking...all 6 kids in the canoe with me in the middle of the camp while they clean up and look out for bears....it was hilarious the kids were so worried that we were going to get attacked by bears....it was the most fun i have had in along time- Thanks to my two crazy brothers and all those amazing nieces and nephews:)

Being Grateful

I have been so blessed in my life- I love my life and i love all the amazing people that are in it- Today was fast Sunday and it is amazing how the spirit can touch you so deeply when you are in such a vulnerable state- I have been so richly blessed and many times take that for granite- One of the sisters got up and talked about how we should be grateful even for the fleas..because God made the fleas- she then begun to tell of a young girl in a concentration camp and how she prayed to God and even thanked him for the fleas and many of the other girls didnt understand , but later they realized the guards didnt bother them because they were infested with fleas...and that was a blessing- I am so grateful for the fleas in my life the little things in life that are difficult but are there for a purpose- I am so thankful that my Heavenly Father knows the bigger picture of this life and the one to come:)

Busy Weekend

This has been a great weekend! I somehow talked Rodg into taking part of the day off on Friday and we went fishing to Henerys Fork....it was so fun (really i dont like to fish that much...but love sitting in the boat and relaxing) There are so many pretty sights and wildlife---we saw little beavers, ducks, geese, crane, and of course FISH:) They were jumping like crazy:) It so much fun to spend time with Rodg watching him fish and doing something he loves- Most of the time he is so busy with work I think he forgets about the things he loves to do!

Saturday we got up late (YAY! we got to sleep in:)) and then we went to workout and it was so fun we were put into groups and we did tire flips, double unders, ran 800M, and my favorite BURPEES..... girls against guys...I will let you guess who won:) if you have never flipped tires...try it- its a great workout and mixes things up from your usual workout (thats not me or Rodg in the picture i just found it to show you what we did today)

After our workout we came home and got ready to go to the Temple with our good friend Kayla and Kenny it was just what I needed I love going to the Temple- I am so grateful for my life and all the amazing people in my life - I really hate to see this weekend end:)

I decided to attempt posting some of the wedding pictures Chantri just sent me:) She was such a great photographer and we loved working with her:) It is so fun to look back on that day and have these pictures that we will always treasure- I ran out of time so i will post some more later tonight- Rodg and I are going to green canyon swimming for Jaden Birthday party- Not sure how I feel about the green canyon part but the Birthday party will be fun:)

New To The Blogging World

My sister talked me into doing this blog....we will see how it goes it seems like it might be pretty time consuming:) Rodger and I just recently got married 1 month ago and are loving life:) It has been so fun starting our new life together:)
